Bakery with wood veneer interior design - Querkus oak Hoboken

Top layer of real top class

The top layer of the Querkus panels consists of an expertly crafted sheet of wood veneer. Every sheet is composed using our mixmatch technique, yielding unrivaled consistency and uniqueness.

What is mixmatch?

Mastered over decades, this signature technique provides an uniform surface. Various slicing techniques are applied to select timber cuts from different trees, which are then joined together into a sheet.

Each panel is characteristically unique to solid wood without visual inconsistencies or structural compromises.

Which version should you choose?

Querkus panels are available in 3 versions:

  • EXCLUSIVE: The very best that Querkus has to offer. Both sides of the panel have Querkus quality veneer, for the most harmonious look available.
  • SELECT: Querkus quality veneer on the front side. The back has the same wood specie as the front but allows more character and does not specify the jointing menthod. This version is recommend when only 1 side of the panel is visible e.g. cubbords, tables, ...

How to finish Querkus?

Querkus is a collection of pre-sanded panels, flexes, sheets, edge banding, slats and coustics that allow for further finishing. It is important to sand the panels again before finishing to achieve the needed adhesion and facilitate the finishing process.

The collection can be finished with varnish or oil. The wood can also be stained prior to finishing. We recommend following the instructions of the varnish/oil supplier for further finishing.
